Who is Jamie?
Professor Jamie Anderson has been named as a "management guru" by the Financial Times, and as one of the world’s top 25 management thinkers by the journal Business Strategy Review, alongside internationally renowned thought leaders such as Gary Hamel,
Philip Kotler and Henry Mintzberg. Another industry magazine recently included Jamie as one of the ‘top 40 under 40’ most influential young business minds worldwide. Born in Australia, Jamie now lives in Belgium.

What is Jamie's Professional Background?
Jamie has held permanent and visiting positions at some of the world’s top business schools, such London Business School, IMD, ESMT Berlin and the University of Melbourne. His research and teaching focuses on strategy, innovation and creativity, but he is just as likely to talk about Lady Gaga, Madonna, Picasso or Damien Hirst as he is to discuss Steve Jobs, Jack Welch or Richard Branson.
Jamie’s articles have appeared in publications such as California Management Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal, and he has appeared as a business commentator on BBC World, CNBC and CNN.

What is Jamie's Research Focus and Approach to Learning?
Jamie’s wit and humour have seen him described as a ‘stand-up strategist’, who brings together the theories and frameworks of business strategy, innovation and creativity with a unique presentation style that never fails to both enlighten and entertain. Jamie is a superb story teller, and he believes that the discussion of important business concepts should always be fun. His presentations are rich in multimedia; he focuses on interaction and audience participation, whether for a small after-dinner talk audience, MBA class or for a keynote presentation to a conference of hundreds of attendees.

Jamie is passionate about the lessons that business can learn from the creative industries, and his 2011 co-authored book ‘The Fine Art of Success
is a fresh and entertaining discussion of key strategies for successful business innovation. The book analyses the success of artists through the lens of management theory and asks what firms can learn from the way creative artists innovate. Jamie shows that there are real lessons for managers from the success of artists such as Madonna, Pablo Picasso, Damien Hirst and others, and that many of these lessons can be applied within the firm.  His Lady Gaga case study titled 'Lady Gaga: Born This Way?' has been featured in the business press around the world.

Jamie's Work in Technology and Telecomms

In addition to his work on innovation and creativity in the creative industries, Jamie is acknowledged as one of the world's leading authorities on the telecommunications sector.
